Sorry everyone, just realised my last post was a year ago!

Thought I'd do a generalised update

So currently I'm working on my sloths/bears/rabbits/squirrels/whatevers for Hugglets in September (for those who don't know, it's a big Bear Artist Fair in London, my second time going). My pieces this year have a vague British seaside theme so expect lots of sailor hats, ice creams and sandcastles!  I occasionally add snap shots to my Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/jesuislugly) because none of them will be officially finished until closer the time, but currently I have:

Three sloths
Two big bears
One small bear
One rabbit
One squirrel

Ready to go.  Really liking my sloths and big bears so far

Anyhoo, that's about it from me! Wish I had new photos to show you... might have a head shot or two I can sneak in, seeing as it's not their faces that need work

Such exciting news: Seymour's one of three Judge's Choices in the first ever Bear Artistry Awards!

He's already won a lovely trophy, but I'd love to win a public choice award too... fancy voting?

Hi everyone!

It's time to celebrate five years of Je Suis Lugly!

A lot has changed in those five years, but I hope you'll agree that the majority of changes have been in the right direction. I really want to mark the occassion by hosting a big giveaway. The rules are pretty simple and you could win sweet Earl shown in my gallery: he's one of my little bears from the Teddies Worldwide Tea Party, and he needs a new home.

All you have to do to have a chance at winning is be a member of my mailing list. Simple, right? I only use my mailing list to let people know about new pieces or really exciting news and you can unsubscribe any time after the competition closes, I won't be offended... people who're already members are already entered.

Hi All! Well I just popped on to update the journal and found Careful's been featured as a Daily Devation, woo hoo! This is my first ever feature on here so I'm dead chuffed... I hope that I can add even more cute sloths, bears, hares and more over the next year for you all to goo over

I thought I'd let you know that I'm one of 100 featured artists in the upcoming Teddies Worldwide Online Show (here: backroadbears.com/TW/home.php). I'm excited as it's my first big online show: I have to make a minimum of five bears and the rest can be animals. So far I have three bears finished and one cut out. I also have an elephant on the way because the theme is 'Tea Party' and I can't think of anything to do other than make a tea gathering elephant with a tea advert on its sides... any ideas? My bears will have sweet collars and bow ties: I like other peoples dressed bears but i think mine need to be naked really
